You don’t have to be staying at Wytch Wood to enjoy eating with us or visiting the bar. We are open to visitors as well. Some events have limited availability or need pre-ordering so please check before you travel.

Relax morning or evening at the delightful Wytch’s Kytchen, the on-site cafe at the Wytch Wood Campsite. For those wanting the convenience of delicious food served at the site we offer:

- Cream Teas – from £6 (these can be requested any day but always available saturday afternoons)

The Black Cat Bar is a huge part of the Wytch Wood experience and offers cool, refreshing drinks plus a social barn to enjoy them in. We really want to help local businesses thrive in Somerset, so we’ve chosen to stock local drinks for you to enjoy during your stay – you can even take some home with you.

Cara Dale18 August 2024A truly beautiful campsite, it was so refreshing to know that the kids were safe as there was no cars constantly driving through and they had free roam of the site. The facilities are clean and Elise and team are really friendly. Pizzas were delicious too! We added an extra night as we loved it so much. Our host Elise was very welcoming and her pizzas on pizza nights were delicious. A lot of love and care has gone into this back to nature campsite in the beautiful surroundings of the somerset countryside. The fresh coffee from the coffee van in the morning and the well stocked honesty shop as well as board games hammocks etc were a lovely touch. Each area is well positioned to make you feel you are camping alone whilst also being able to access great amenities. Plenty in the woods and natural surroundings to entertain our 13 year old girls and very relaxing and hassle free for us. The individual loos per pitch are a welcome change to communal ones and the shower area is extremely clean and spacious with lovely products to use. Everything you need and more is readily available should you run out of essentials or have forgotten to pack them. A real extra treat is the very cold wine and beer in the honesty bar and delicious coffee and pastries in the mornings. We also thoroughly enjoyed the axe throwing and archery and relaxing by the communal fire pit and eating delicious pizzas made for a fun evening. Elise and her team are all lovely and on hand to go the extra mile to make your stay more magical. We will definitely be coming again next year for the third time or even this year again, if we can fit it in. It's such a great open space for the children to run around in and explore nature. Its also great for them to meet lots of other children. Elise, as always, is lovely. I would recommend this campsite to any family that wants to embrace a bit of nature and who are looking to get away from city life. We look forward to coming back again next year. I was curious to see an ECO CAMPSITE. It worked just as well as any other and had the obvious advantage leaving a much smaller ecological footprint. I especially liked that the plots were secluded and spacious. We enjoyed the privacy whilst there was a nice, friendly atmosphere. The big campfire on Saturday was a perfect opportunity to socialise - if you wanted to. Elise was there to help and to answer any questions. We never had such friendly host before. I am sure that we will be back with the new tent - we just realised during this last trip, that our old tent was not waterproof anymore. I took my boys and they loved it. Booked again for another visit for 2024 and will probably become a traditional for us to visit.
