Our wildest option yet, with space for just 3 small tents you can pick your spot within the Hidden Dell.
New for summer 2024 – wild camping pitches in the Hidden Dell at Wytch Wood Camping.
Our wildest camping location yet – a new area of woodland beside the stream has been prepared to accommodate up to 3 small tents – simply pick a spot in the Hidden Dell and relax.
A newly managed area of the woodland beside the stream is our most flexible area, with campers able to choose where to pitch their tent. These pitches are restricted to small tents and hammock tents, with just one or two adults, or up to 3 with children per pitch. Perfect for couples, or small families or anyone looking to get some peace, these are some of our most secluded pitches.
Hidden Dell camping pitches are best for:
⇒ Solo travellers and couples
⇒ Small tents and hammock tents
⇒ Single night stopovers
⇒ Nature and forest lovers, bird watchers and wild camping fans
⇒ Sleeps up to 3 (max 2 adults and teens)
This pitch is not suitable for:
⊗ Campervans, rooftop tents and trailer tents
⊗ Big tents, families and groups
⊗ Sun lovers, private facilities
Perfect for stopovers, these camping pitches have no minimum stay and because of the shared facilities, cost slightly less than a regular pitch. Access is via a footbridge, so you will have to carry your gear for at least 30m. More pictures will follow soon.
Seating areas and firepits are supplied and the 3 pitches will share a compost loo. You will also have access to the communal facilities of hot showers, washing up area, water points and covered café/bar area.
Stays in the Hidden Dell camping pitches are for a minimum of 1 night at all times. Minimum 1 guest.

We are open from May to September and keep our pricing the same throughout the year.
All pricing is per person, per night:
Key Information
- Check in from 2pm.
- Check out by 11am.
- Party size – minimum 1 person, maximum 3 people (max 2 adults and teens). You cannot exceed the maximum occupants per pitch.
- We do not accept dogs other than support dogs.
- Wytch Wood is a quiet campsite. No amplified music is allowed on site and respectful levels of noise at all times, especially after dark.
- Minimum stay for the Hidden Dell is 1 night at all times.

Cancellations
- If cancelled six weeks or more before your arrival date we will refund your payment less a 20% admin fee and the £12 Greener Camping Club membership fee (which is not refundable).
- In the event that we are unable re-let your dates, no refund will be made.
- Bookings are not transferable without our prior agreement with us in writing.
- You are advised to take out travel insurance. See our full booking terms and conditions.
