The barn is there for everyone to use – great when it’s raining, or really hot or just as somewhere to hang out and play a game.
We’ve tried to add some little things to make your stay a bit easier, and avoid those annoying little trips out.
We love coffee. So we serve it every weekend morning and every day during peak times.
Serving our own blend specially prepared by a local roastery in Axminster you can have a fresh barista made drink to your liking or even take a bag of coffee home with you.
You can’t miss the pizza oven – this Italian beauty grabs everyone’s attention!
Fired up every Saturday and Wednesday in July and August – you can watch your hand-stretched pizza prepared and cooked to order in front of you.
Check the calendar for all dates and menus with seasonal specials.
We stock a fully licensed bar and are open on the weekends.
Try out some refreshing local beers and ciders. Everything is sourced from within 15 miles – these aren’t brands you’ll find in the supermarket. The bar itself was second hand from a local brewery tap room!
We can’t promise you a signal, but we can help you keep your phone and small devices charged. We have three charging points set up in the communal barn for you to use.
Lots to choose from for all ages – from backgammon to battleships.
We’ve also got badminton, croquet, and french skittles for you to enjoy. Help yourself and please pack up when you’re done.
We’ve got the basics covered with firewood and charcoal, firelighters and matches.
And then a few little treats as well like marshmallows, cold drinks and local Baboo Gelato. We don’t have a card reader, so start a tab and pay when you leave.
Keep fresh things fresh, and cool boxes cool, with our communal fridge.
It’s not huge but it should help make life a little bit easier. Please be mindful when we are busy and don’t hog it with slabs of beer!
EXCELLENT Based on 98 reviews Suzie Eastment1 September 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. An amazing camp site, we loved our stay here. Our pitch was huge, partly under trees so was great to have some shade as well as sun. The pitch came with a table and chairs, firepit and composting toilet. The showers were closed by too. The pizzas on pizza night were delicious, would highly recommend. We loved the honesty tab that you start on arrival and pay on leaving. Would definitely recommend a trip here😍 Caroline Lisle1 September 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a lovely week at Wytch Wood...one of the most beautiful places we've camped. We camped on the edge of ancient woodland under an oak tree. The team there are friendly and helpful and make the best morning coffee you'll ever have at a campsite! It's a place to relax and enjoy just being in the natural world. Will definitely return. We had an amazing weekend at Wytch Wood in June, complete with luxury add-ons (delicious stone-baked pizzas, fresh coffees and warm croissants) and incredible location, including stream and woodlands on site, offering hours of adventures for a group with young children. Each pitch is unique and nicely spaced. Plenty of spots to hang hammocks, play games and enjoy being outside. Beautifully landscaped communal facilities. Loads of games on site. All of the touches so well thought through. We got lucky with the weather, and enjoyed some lovely evenings listening to owls and watching bats flit about. We hope to be back next year. Absolutely stunning site, great food, and the coffee is amazing! They have a little honesty shop there that has all your essentials, including the most delicious ketchup I've ever had, and some amazing local beer, fire wood, tinder, coals and other bits! The staff are just lovely and very friendly - they make you feel like part of the family! The compost loos are kept clean and tidy as well, so don't worry about using them! They have a lovely communal area as well with a fire pit, full cleaning area and fresh spring water out the tap as well! Definitely will be coming back next year! Thanks again to Elise and the gang! A truly beautiful campsite, it was so refreshing to know that the kids were safe as there was no cars constantly driving through and they had free roam of the site. The facilities are clean and Elise and team are really friendly. Pizzas were delicious too! We added an extra night as we loved it so much. Thank you Wytch Wood, we will be back for sure! Our host Elise was very welcoming and her pizzas on pizza nights were delicious. A lot of love and care has gone into this back to nature campsite in the beautiful surroundings of the somerset countryside. The fresh coffee from the coffee van in the morning and the well stocked honesty shop as well as board games hammocks etc were a lovely touch. We will definitely be back . Each area is well positioned to make you feel you are camping alone whilst also being able to access great amenities. Plenty in the woods and natural surroundings to entertain our 13 year old girls and very relaxing and hassle free for us. The individual loos per pitch are a welcome change to communal ones and the shower area is extremely clean and spacious with lovely products to use. Everything you need and more is readily available should you run out of essentials or have forgotten to pack them. A real extra treat is the very cold wine and beer in the honesty bar and delicious coffee and pastries in the mornings. We also thoroughly enjoyed the axe throwing and archery and relaxing by the communal fire pit and eating delicious pizzas made for a fun evening. Elise and her team are all lovely and on hand to go the extra mile to make your stay more magical. We will definitely be coming again next year for the third time or even this year again, if we can fit it in. Thank you.
