Located on the edge of the woodland, this is our first enhanced camping pitch and includes an outdoor kitchen.
Spalted Beech is our first enhanced camping pitch, with valley views, room for larger setups, and your own covered outdoor kitchen area.
Set in a sheltered thicket of hawthorn on the woodland edge, Spalted Beech has been extended to give extra space for large tents and group camping. There’s room for large tents, two smaller tents or campervans.
There is a £20 per-night pitch supplement to enjoy this upgrade on your camping experience. Our normal per-person camping rates apply.
What makes Spalted Beech special is the added comfort of your own covered outdoor kitchen area, with drinking water, a wash-up point and a prep/cooking counter. Make your life easier and enjoy the privacy and convenience of your own covered kitchen.
The Spalted Beech camping pitch is best for:

This pitch is not suitable for:
⊗ Solo travellers or couples
⊗ Hammock tents
⊗ People who like carrying their washing up
As with all pitches at Wytch Wood, you’ll have your own compost loo, rustic table and seating and firepit with cooking grill as well as access to all communal facilities. We are a quiet campsite with no amplified music and respectful noise levels after dark.

All pricing is per person, per night:
Key Information
- Check in from 2 pm.
- Check out by 11 am.
- Party size - minimum 3 people, maximum 8 people in total (max 6 adults and teens). You cannot exceed the maximum occupants per pitch.
- We do not accept dogs other than support dogs.
- Wytch Wood is a quiet campsite. No amplified music is allowed on site, and respectful levels of noise are required at all times, especially after dark.
- Spalted Beech is £20 a night for the pitch, plus the usual per-person pitch fees.

Cancellations
- If cancelled six weeks or more before your arrival date we will refund your payment less a 20% admin fee and the £12 Greener Camping Club membership fee (which is not refundable).
- In the event that we are unable re-let your dates, no refund will be made.
- Bookings are not transferable without our prior agreement with us in writing.
