A large pitch with views into the paddock, across the valley, and into the woods. Suitable for all tent types.
Whispering Meadow Camping Pitch is a large, level grass pitch at the heart of the campsite with lovely views up the valley.
A lovely, sunny and open pitch in the meadow. Formerly part of Pitch 7, we decided to give it its own loo and make it a separate pitch!
The Whispering Meadow pitch is very flexible and can take most tents and campervans, with space for an awning or pup tent. In the summer, you’ll be surrounded by long, whispering grasses and vibrant wild flowers.
Whispering Meadow camping pitch is best for:
⇒ Small, medium and large tents
⇒ Campervans, trailer tents and roof top tents
⇒ Sun lovers
⇒ Sleeps up to 6 total (max 5 adults and teens)
This pitch is not suitable for:
⊗ Hammock tents, very large tunnel tents
⊗ Shade lovers
⊗ Solitude lovers
You will have sole use of a wooden table and benches, a fire pit with a grill, and your own compost loo on your plot. You will also have access to the hot showers, washing-up area and all other facilities at Wytch Wood.

We are open from May to September and keep our pricing the same throughout the year.
All pricing is per person, per night:
Key Information
- Check in from 2pm.
- Check out by 11am.
- Party size – minimum 2 people, maximum 6 people (max. 5 adults or teens). You cannot exceed the maximum occupants per pitch.
- We do not accept dogs other than support dogs.
- Wytch Wood is a quiet campsite. No amplified music is allowed on site, and respectful levels of noise at all times, especially after dark.
- Minimum stay on Whispering Meadow Camping Pitch is 1 night at all times. Minimum 2 guests.
Cancellations
- If cancelled six weeks or more before your arrival date we will refund your payment less a 20% admin fee and the £12 Greener Camping Club membership fee (which is not refundable).
- In the event that we are unable re-let your dates, no refund will be made.
- Bookings are not transferable without our prior agreement with us in writing.
- You are advised to take out travel insurance. See our full booking terms and conditions.

Hot showers stocked with ‘Faith in Nature’ products
The showers are a great experience if we do say so ourselves. The clear roof means that you feel like you’re still in the middle of nature.
CAFE & BAR
The communal barn is there for everyone to use. Enjoy fresh, barista-made coffee, the fully licensed bar, and hand-stretched pizza cooked to order for you. Plus, we have lots of games to choose from for all ages – from backgammon to battleships.
WASH UPS
Our washing-up area boasts hot water and ‘Green Bear‘ biologically friendly washing-up liquid. Plus, we provide beautiful (and free) clear spring water for you to drink during your stay.
ACTIVITIES
We put on an exciting array of activities for campers and locals. From bushcraft, archery and axe throwing to forest bathing, yoga, and bat walks you can join in on as lille or as much as you like.
