There’s something rather special about climbing into bed while the woodland settles around you. Tree Tops, a beautifully restored Army Land Rover trailer, complete with a Tuff Trek rooftop tent, becomes your base for a few days of simple outdoor living. Set in its own secluded clearing, with a covered kitchen, fire pit and private glade, it’s camping from an entirely different perspective – all without the hassle of bringing specialist equipment or pitching a tent.
The Tuff Trek rooftop tent sits above a restored Army Land Rover trailer, giving you a cosy bedroom amongst the branches while everything else you need is waiting below.
Cook breakfast in the covered outdoor kitchen, enjoy long lunches in the fresh air, sway in the hammock with a book or gather around the fire as dusk settles over the woods. It’s an experience that feels wonderfully remote, yet hot showers and the campsite facilities are only a short walk away.
Tree Tops rooftop tent has 1 double bed space and is designed to sleep 2. It is £80 per night, with a minimum of 2 nights. A child aged 6-12 can also stay in at a charge of £10 per night if you don’t mind being cosy.
The trailer forms the heart of your camp, with a covered kitchen, a private sink, a dining area and everything you need for simple outdoor cooking. Outside, you’ll find a fire pit with adjustable cooking grill, a hammock and your own peaceful woodland glade.
If you’d like to bring family or friends, there’s room for one small or medium tent and/or two hammock tents, allowing up to four additional guests at standard camping rates.

A large grass pitch on the upper side of the bank surrounded by young fruit trees, gets lots of sun and is convenient for amenities.

Large levelled pitch in the old pony paddocks, you’ll have wonderful views across the valley in front and into the woods behind.

Medium-sized levelled grass pitch beside the old gate into the woodland. Lovely views over the valley.

Hot showers stocked with ‘Faith in Nature’ products
The showers are a great experience if we do say so ourselves. The clear roof means that you feel like you’re still in the middle of nature.
The communal barn is there for everyone to use. Enjoy fresh, barista-made coffee, the fully licensed bar, and hand-stretched pizza cooked to order for you. Plus, we have lots of games to choose from for all ages – from backgammon to battleships.
Our washing-up area boasts hot water and ‘Green Bear‘ biologically friendly washing-up liquid. Plus, we provide beautiful (and free) clear spring water for you to drink during your stay.
We put on an exciting array of activities for campers and locals. From bushcraft, archery and axe throwing to forest bathing, yoga, and bat walks you can join in on as lille or as much as you like.
