We’ve put ‘green’ at the forefront of camping and created The Greener Camping Club to fill the void for a members-only camping organisation committed to sustainable, responsible, eco-friendly camping.
Wytch Wood Camp Site is privately owned and managed, and provides some of the most environmentally friendly, low impact recreational camping experiences.
WHY CHOOSE WYTCH WOOD FOR YOUR NEXT HOLIDAY
- A secluded and relaxed choice of exceptional and camping and glamping pitches.
- An annual membership fee of just £12 (the membership year runs from 1st January to 31st December – membership automatically extends to the 31st December of the following year if you join on or after 1st September of the preceding year). Meaning you can book any time we are open.
- Our ’Trees for Life’ scheme, whereby a tree is planted for every customer that stays. In this small way, our hope is that the trees go some way to off-setting some of the inevitable environmental impact of even the greenest of holidays.
- Campsites where queues for the loo are a thing of the past. We have a strict quota system of loos/showers to pitches for the campsite, so you’ll never be caught short again.
- The showers contain bio soaps and shampoos.
- Comprehensive recycling facilities.
- A paper-free, digital membership enrolment process.

GREENER CAMPING CLUB TREE GARDEN
Welcome to our new tree garden – this new plantation was created by our guests!
When we sign you up for your Greener Camping Club Membership, we receive a young tree to plant in the winter.
There are over 300 trees in this area – a mix of native species, including: Silver Birch, Scots Pine, Hazel, Mountain Ash, Blackthorn, Hawthorn, Hornbeam, Oak and Crab Apple. In future, this area will get more beautiful and create a whole new area of woodland giving cover and food to small birds.
We want to thank our guests for making this possible and we hope to welcome them back for many years to come so they can see their trees grow and flourish.

An amazing camp site, we loved our stay here. Our pitch was huge, partly under trees so was great to have some shade as well as sun. The pitch came with a table and chairs, firepit and composting toilet. The showers were closed by too.
The pizzas on pizza night were delicious, would highly recommend.
We loved the honesty tab that you start on arrival and pay on leaving.
Would definitely recommend a trip here😍

Had a lovely week at Wytch Wood...one of the most beautiful places we've camped. We camped on the edge of ancient woodland under an oak tree. The team there are friendly and helpful and make the best morning coffee you'll ever have at a campsite! It's a place to relax and enjoy just being in the natural world. Will definitely return. Cal and family.

Campsite of dreams! We had an amazing weekend at Wytch Wood in June, complete with luxury add-ons (delicious stone-baked pizzas, fresh coffees and warm croissants) and incredible location, including stream and woodlands on site, offering hours of adventures for a group with young children.
Each pitch is unique and nicely spaced. Plenty of spots to hang hammocks, play games and enjoy being outside. Beautifully landscaped communal facilities. Loads of games on site. All of the touches so well thought through.
We got lucky with the weather, and enjoyed some lovely evenings listening to owls and watching bats flit about.
We hope to be back next year.

Absolutely stunning site, great food, and the coffee is amazing! They have a little honesty shop there that has all your essentials, including the most delicious ketchup I've ever had, and some amazing local beer, fire wood, tinder, coals and other bits! The staff are just lovely and very friendly - they make you feel like part of the family! The compost loos are kept clean and tidy as well, so don't worry about using them! They have a lovely communal area as well with a fire pit, full cleaning area and fresh spring water out the tap as well! Definitely will be coming back next year! Thanks again to Elise and the gang!

A truly beautiful campsite, it was so refreshing to know that the kids were safe as there was no cars constantly driving through and they had free roam of the site. The facilities are clean and Elise and team are really friendly. Pizzas were delicious too! We added an extra night as we loved it so much. Thank you Wytch Wood, we will be back for sure!

Fantastic week spent here in July, what a wonderful place to kick back and relax. Our host Elise was very welcoming and her pizzas on pizza nights were delicious. A lot of love and care has gone into this back to nature campsite in the beautiful surroundings of the somerset countryside. The fresh coffee from the coffee van in the morning and the well stocked honesty shop as well as board games hammocks etc were a lovely touch. We will definitely be back .

I highly recommend this beautiful campsite. Each area is well positioned to make you feel you are camping alone whilst also being able to access great amenities. Plenty in the woods and natural surroundings to entertain our 13 year old girls and very relaxing and hassle free for us. The individual loos per pitch are a welcome change to communal ones and the shower area is extremely clean and spacious with lovely products to use. Everything you need and more is readily available should you run out of essentials or have forgotten to pack them. A real extra treat is the very cold wine and beer in the honesty bar and delicious coffee and pastries in the mornings. We also thoroughly enjoyed the axe throwing and archery and relaxing by the communal fire pit and eating delicious pizzas made for a fun evening. Elise and her team are all lovely and on hand to go the extra mile to make your stay more magical. We will definitely be coming again next year for the third time or even this year again, if we can fit it in. Thank you.
