Spotlight on… Hunt’s Food Group

Spotlight on… Hunt’s Food Group

Hunt’s roots are deeply intertwined with farming – a similarity that hasn’t gone unnoticed at Wytch Wood, making them a perfect supplier to the Wytch’s Kytchen.

Dating back to the 1900s, the business started as a dairy farm and now operates as a coldstore out of six sites across the Southwest and covers frozen, chilled, ambient and natural food products.

A big part of Hunt’s Food Group ethos, and one that resonates particularly well with us, is their unrelenting commitment to sustainability and charitable giving. Hunt’s remains family-owned today and maintains its vision of being a business that manufactures, sells and delivers great-tasting food that’s loved by everyone; which is why we are more than happy to use and stock the Hunt’s products.

their ongoing commitment to using their business to positively impact colleagues, customers, communities and the planet.

Their Sherborne Ammonia refrigerant has an ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) rating of O.

    • Improving fuel efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. They minimise the impact of their operations with new fleet technology. Telematic technology enables them to improve fuel efficiency and reduce carbon emissions along with Adblue added to the fleet of HGV’s to reduce harmful gases being emitted.

One of the main aims of Wytch Wood Camping is to have as little environmental impact on the site as possible. This is just one of the reasons we are a firm advocate of Hunt’s Food Group.

We scrutinised their use of packaging, production methods and their own commitment to the environment before we went ahead and approached them to be a supplier to Wytch Wood.

You will now find Hunt’s Food products used in our pizza ingredients, picnic packs, breakfast packs, and shop.
