Add a little magic to your Sunday and enjoy a delicious Cream Tea.
Each Sunday from noon, you’ll be able to enjoy a traditional cream tea served right here in the Wytch Wood woodland garden. Expect a freshly baked scone (fruit or plain), a generous helping of Rodda’s clotted cream, strawberry jam, and a pot of loose-leaf tea from the brilliant folks at Bird & Blend – a certified B Corp known for their ethically sourced, delicious blends.
Choose from:
Prefer coffee? Swap your tea for an Americano if you’d rather. Oat and semi-skimmed milk are both available, and there’s even a gluten-free option made with rice flour — just let us know when booking.
Each cream tea is just £6.50 per person. Kids are welcome too – they can enjoy a hot chocolate or cold drink instead of tea.
Cream teas will be served between 1pm and 3pm, with drinks available from 12 noon. We strongly recommend booking in advance to guarantee yours (we expect these to be popular!), though walk-ups are welcome while stocks last.
Our woodland garden seating area makes the perfect spot for a lazy summer afternoon, but if you’d rather take your cream tea back to your pitch, we can box everything up in eco-friendly packaging.
It’s all served up by Abbey at Brew and Ember, with scones freshly baked by our local star baker, Claire. Add a local strawberry on the side, and it’s a proper Somerset Sunday.
EXCELLENT Based on 132 reviews Posted on Google Clive BrownTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing quiet and peaceful site with only twelve pitches, each with their own loo. Showers and washing up areas very clean. There is an 'honesty shop' which was very useful and the host Elise was so helpful and welcoming. Thoroughly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful break.Posted on Google Bram BijleveldTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We absolutely love Wytch Wood campsite. It is our favorite campsite of the UK and we have been here 3 times yet because of that. Elise is a wonderful host, makes you feel very welcome. The site is beautiful and all the activities (yoga, workshops for children/adults, pizza night) are great. Her staff is very friendly & helpful. And last but not least…so many lovely animals in the field and their own ‘fairytale like’ forrest (sheep, horses, bats, deer, owls). Fantastic! Would really recommend staying here.Posted on Google Ella AmeyeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wauw wauw wauw. We’ll be back!Posted on Google Simon Perez-LumbrerasTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This spot is absolutely gorgeous! It's ideal for tents or smaller camper vans, and I loved how quiet and picturesque it was. Such a lovely place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Highly recommend!Posted on Google Daniel StreatTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Beautiful location and wonderful low-impact facilities. We loved the pizza, foraging for wild strawberries, paddling in the stream and lying in hammocks in the woods. One of the best campsites we’ve ever been to.Posted on Google Toby Westcott-WhiteTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This campsite is fantastic! We had a lovely pitch right by the stream and enjoyed the fire pit. The facilities were excellent with compost toilets at each pitch. Unfortunately, we missed out on the pizza, coffee shop and bar as they were closed during our visit outside of school holidays and during the working week. We highly recommend this site.Posted on Google Peter McWhinney-TrippTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As others have said, it's a lovely secluded place and well kept. Camping area surrounded by trees. Kids can run about. Facilities are great for a low impact site; hot water, shelters and pizza preordered etc.Posted on Google BISTRO CHEFTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We just had a magical family weekend at Wytch wood camping! A massive thank you to Elise and her team for a great welcoming and amazing services. We sincerely hope to return ☺️
